What We Offer

IV Sedation

At Midtown Dental, we understand that dental visits can cause stress and anxiety. That’s why our dentists offer IV sedation to help patients feel relaxed and comfortable throughout their appointment.

IV (intravenous) sedation is a conscious sedation method, meaning you remain aware of your surroundings and can follow any instructions from our dentist. Before your treatment, you will meet one-on-one with your dentist to review your medical history, dental needs, and other factors to determine if IV sedation is the best option for you.

With IV sedation, medication is delivered directly into your bloodstream, helping you relax quickly and comfortably. Although this type of sedation is very safe, we monitor you closely throughout your procedure to ensure your safety. Many patients feel as though they have slept through their treatment and may have little or no memory of the visit.

For safety, you will need to bring someone to drive you home and have a companion stay with you for several hours after your appointment until the effects of the medication have worn off.

Contact our office today to learn more about IV sedation or to schedule a consultation with our caring dentists. We look forward to helping you have a comfortable, stress-free dental experience.

Oral Sedation

If you experience fear or anxiety about visiting the dentist, ask our dentists about oral sedation. At Midtown Dental, we strive to make every visit a comfortable and relaxed experience. If oral sedation is right for you, you will be given a pill prior to your appointment to help you feel at ease.

Oral sedation is a form of conscious sedation that allows you to remain awake during treatment while feeling calm and relaxed. Administered in pill form, it is simple, easy to use, and effective. Additional benefits of oral sedation include:

  • Quick and easy administration with no needles involved
  • Produces a mild amnesic effect for a more comfortable experience
  • Typically lower cost than other forms of sedation

If oral sedation is recommended, your dentist will provide specific instructions on how and when to take your medication before your appointment. For safety, it is important to have a family member or friend drive you to and from your visit. Upon arrival, you will be awake but deeply relaxed; some drowsiness is normal and many patients do not remember all the details of their appointment.

Nitrous Oxide Sedation

If you feel anxious, fearful, or uncomfortable during dental visits, ask our team about nitrous oxide sedation. This mild sedative helps you relax and feel at ease while receiving treatment at Midtown Dental.

Nitrous oxide, also known as laughing gas, is a safe nitrogen-oxygen mixture inhaled through a nose mask during your appointment. As you breathe it in, you may feel calm, relaxed, or even euphoric. The effects wear off within minutes after the mask is removed, allowing you to safely drive yourself home following your treatment.

Nitrous oxide is ideal for patients with dental anxiety or phobia, whether it stems from unfamiliar procedures or discomfort with the sights and sounds of the dental office. Be sure to discuss your concerns with our dentist and team before your visit so we can ensure a comfortable and stress-free experience.

Dental Implants

At Midtown Dental, our dentists have extensive training in dental implant placement and restoration. Dr. Vikas Khanna completed a one-year residency at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine (Yeshiva University) in New York City, where they gained hands-on experience placing and restoring implants – from single-tooth replacements to full-mouth restorations. Our goal is to provide long-lasting solutions for missing teeth, helping patients transition from dentures or gaps to a full set of stable, implant-supported teeth.

If you have lost one or more teeth, dental implants may be recommended. Implants replace the entire tooth, including the root, providing a replacement that looks, feels and functions like your natural teeth.

Dental implants are permanent, stable tooth replacements that can address one missing tooth, multiple teeth, or complete arches. The implant post, made of titanium, is surgically placed into the jawbone to replace the missing tooth root and ensure a stable foundation. A healing period allows the bone to fuse with the biocompatible post, securing the implant in place.

Once healed, the dental implant restoration – a crown, bridge, or complete/partial denture – is attached to the implant post. Each restoration is custom-made to match your smile comfortably and aesthetically.

Dental implants restore your smile’s health, function and appearance. They are designed to look, feel and perform like natural teeth, and with proper care, they can last a lifetime. Midtown Dental offers complimentary consultations to assess your unique situation and discuss affordable implant options tailored to your needs.

Full-Mouth Rehabilitation

If you need multiple restorative or cosmetic treatments to regain a healthy smile, consult with our dental professionals about full-mouth rehabilitation. This treatment allows our dentists to completely redesign and reconstruct your smile, helping you enjoy the full benefits of a healthy, functional mouth.

Full-mouth reconstruction is ideal for smiles affected by severe injury, decay, or damage. It often involves restoring many or all teeth and can include a combination of dental treatments, such as:

  • Dental bonding
  • Dental bridges
  • Dental crowns
  • Dental fillings
  • Dental implants
  • Dental inlays or onlays
  • Dental veneers
  • Complete or partial dentures
  • Periodontal (gum) treatment
  • Root canal therapy
  • Tooth extraction

During your personalized consultation, our team will help determine which treatments are best suited to improving your smile. The goal of full-mouth rehabilitation is to restore the health, function, and appearance of your teeth, giving you a smile that looks and feels natural.

You may benefit from full-mouth rehabilitation if your smile is affected by:

  • Chipped, broken, cracked, or fractured teeth
  • Tooth decay
  • Periodontal (gum) disease
  • Missing teeth
  • Infection
  • Dental injury or trauma

Our experienced dentists and team are committed to providing comprehensive care to help you achieve a healthier, more attractive smile.

Implant-Supported Dentures

If you need to replace an entire arch of teeth, our skilled dentists may recommend implant-supported dentures. This treatment provides a natural, stable result without the cost of placing an implant for every missing tooth.

Implant-supported dentures are similar in form to traditional dentures but are anchored by dental implants. Many denture wearers experience looseness or “floating” dentures, which can make eating and speaking difficult. Implant dentures provide a stable, cost-effective solution, and in some cases, we can even retrofit an existing denture with implants.

The process begins with placing the dental implants – small, screw-like posts surgically inserted into the jawbone to securely anchor your denture. The number of implants required varies by patient, but most full-arch cases use four to six implants. After a healing period, the denture is attached to the implants, providing exceptional stability. Many patients report that implant-supported dentures feel and function almost like natural teeth, restoring confidence in both appearance and function.
