Dr. Anuja Patel

Calgary Dentist – Dr. Anuja Patel

Dr. Patel’s childhood fearlessness about dentistry turned to curiosity when she got older, so it was only natural that she graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with a Doctorate in Dental Medicine. At Midtown dental, she brings her knowledge of aesthetic dentistry as well as her expertise with CEREC (Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics) technology.

Children’s Dentistry and Education

Dr. Patel is often responsible for seeing many of Midtown Dental’s younger patients. As with all of Midtown’s dentists, she makes the number one priority for her patients their comfort and education. This becomes twice as important with children, especially those who are afraid that their dental procedures will hurt them.

Dr. Patel knows the value in teaching preventative dental care to children and adults alike, helping patients take care of small problems to prevent more painful ones in the future.

What Comes Next

After the loss of Midtown Dental’s previous clinic during the Calgary flooding of 2013, Dr. Patel is relieved and excited to be at a new location with more space and better equipment. She hopes to continue seeing her old patients, but is also looking forward to meeting new ones as Midtown settles into its new location.

Dr. Patel is also considering continuing her education with a course on Botox treatment, and hopes to start learning more about Botox by early 2015. She is also always looking into additional courses on aesthetic and restorative dentistry to provide the very latest techniques to her patients.

Personal Life

Aside from Midtown Dental, Dr. Patel likes spending time with her husband, Dr. Amreesh Khanna, who is also a dental practitioner at Midtown. Together, they enjoy scuba diving, and hope to cross a few items off of their traveling bucket list in the coming years.

Dr. Patel also enjoys wine and watching any and all types of movies. She shares her love of food with her husband, and within the next five years, they hope to start their own family.
